Technion Update

Sunday, October 15th 2023, 18:15

Dear Members of the Technion Community,

Based on the assessment conducted today and in line with the instructions from the Home Front Command, the Technion management has decided on the following measures:

  • Activities at the Technion campuses in Haifa will proceed tomorrow, Monday, October 16, 2023, unchanged.
  • Since the start of the academic year has been postponed, course registration, planned for tomorrow, is also postponed. We will keep you posted about renewal of registration.
  • All tuition payments, which are due in the coming months (December and January for undergraduate studies, January and February for graduate degrees) are postponed by a month.
  • The manner by which students and staff of the Technion are helping evacuees and the armed forces is extraordinary and heartwarming. Families evacuated (from the north and the south) are staying at the Leo and Julia Forchheimer Dormitory, the Technion Students Association (ASAT) has distributed more than 150 meals to soldiers at the various bases in recent days, through dozens of volunteers, students from the Ruth and Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine are assisting medical personnel in hospitals, and a team of students and faculty members from various academic departments are working at the Mehoudar Center for Inventors to develop urgent engineering solutions for the field.

We invite you to take part in the various volunteering activities. For more details, see the “Give Help / Get Help” center >> https://technion.my.canva.site
